SARAJEVO, September 10 (FENA) - Minister of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton Ismir Jusko paid a working visit to the Una-Sana Canton (USC) on Wednesday.
A meeting was hosted by the Prime Minister of the USC, Mustafa Ružnić, and attended by the Minister of the Interior of the USC, Nermin Kljajić, and Police Commissioner, Mujo Koričić.
They sent out a joint message that the two cantons cannot bear the burden of the migrant crisis on their own.
“The migrant crisis is a common problem that we all face. We also have a problem with migrants in the Sarajevo Canton, but this problem is smaller than the one here. We need to have concrete and continuous communication between us and the exchange of experiences and common positions that we will propose to the state level. When we unite on this issue, we can certainly be more effective in our requests,” said Jusko and added that he had the opportunity to hear a lot of concrete things that have been done in the USC, which can be applied in the Sarajevo Canton.
One of the joint opinions is that it is inconceivable that for a long time there has not been a joint meeting of all stakeholders from the security sector who would bring in their proposals, their experiences and send such messages to the state leadership.
Regarding the situation in the Sarajevo Canton, he stressed that there is a big problem with accommodation capacities and that it is necessary to expand the accommodation units in the migrant camps Blažuj and Ušivak, because some one thousand migrants are moving outside the camps throughout the Sarajevo Canton on a daily basis.
