MOSTAR, September 8 (FENA) - President of HDZ BiH and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA Dragan Čović and President of SNSD and Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik met today at the HDZ BiH headquarters in Mostar and discussed the current political situation and the work of the executive and legislative branches at the state level.
One of the topics of the meeting was a dysfunction of the state level on key issues, such as the final strategic approach and development of a plan for resolving the migrant crisis, the HDZ BiH announced.
As it was pointed out, this is primarily a security issue that has affected the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina and must be resolved urgently.
Also, the interlocutors discussed the local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the City of Mostar, as well as their holding in the pandemic, especially the provision of technical conditions.
HDZ BiH President reiterated that there is no legal basis or rational explanation for the separate holding of local elections in Mostar, but that holding of elections even in such conditions should be a motive to start things from a static position at higher levels, primarily in the context of the forthcoming talks on amendments to the Election Law.
Čović and Dodik announced that more frequent meetings with wider party delegations would follow in the next period, as well as trilateral meetings with representatives of the Bosniak people, HDZ BiH stated.
