SREBRENICA, September 8 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Zoran Tegeltija and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac visited the municipality of Srebrenica today, where they met with municipal mayor Mladen Grujičić to discuss activities and plans for the development of this local community.
After the meeting, Mayor Grujičić said that Chairman Tegeltija had promised to resolve the issue of the donation to Srebrenica by the BiH Council of Ministers in the amount of one and a half million KM.
“The donation was promised at a joint conference in 2015 when Serbia also donated five million euros to Srebrenica. Serbia complied with its donation as well as the RS Government, the donation of the Council of Ministers remained non-compliant. Chairman Tegeltija expressed readiness to submit a donation to Srebrenica. We have decided that this donation will be directed to projects in infrastructure and a production hall that will employ 20-30 workers, the construction of two elevators, and the renovation of residential facades and one landslide,” said Grujičić.
Tegeltija said that Srebrenica needs new jobs and solving certain infrastructural problems.
“We discussed how to help Srebrenica create new jobs and how to open some new plants that were operating in the previous period, but are not in function today. Srebrenica is a specific municipality and the success of Srebrenica is very important for society as a whole. We will do everything to fulfill the obligations from the previous period and accordingly, as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, I prepared for Thursday's session an item on the agenda where we should resolve the issue of these remaining one and a half million KM of aid to the municipality of Srebrenica. We are ready to respect that, I hope that we will have the support of other ministers to resolve this issue. We will support projects that are important in the field of culture and sports in Srebrenica. The Council of Ministers is at the disposal of the local government in Srebrenica in order to make life in the local community better for all its citizens,” Tegeltija pointed out.
Staša Košarac, BiH Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, said that Srebrenica and its citizens should have the support of the BiH Council of Ministers.
“We want to work together with Mayor Grujičić in order to create better-living conditions for all citizens,” Košarac underlined.
After the meeting with Mayor Grujičić, Chairman Tegeltija and Minister Košarac visited the company "Economic Group" in Potocčari, where they met with businessmen from Srebrenica.
