BiH exports decreased by 14.8 percent, but imports as well by 17.3 percent

SARAJEVO, August 21 (FENA) - Exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past seven months (January - July) this year amounted to 5.82 billion KM, which is 14.8 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 9.53 billion KM, which is 17.3 percent less.

The import-export ratio amounted to 61.1 percent and the foreign trade deficit amounted to 3.7 billion KM, according to the data from the BiH Statistics Agency.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to KM 918 million, which is 15.9 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to KM 1.18 billion, which is 12.4 percent less. The import-export ratio with CEFTA countries amounted to 77.3 percent.

Exports to EU countries amounted to KM 4.27 billion, which is 15.1 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to KM 5.78 billion, which is less by 18.3 percent. The import-export ratio with EU countries was 73.7 percent.
