MOSTAR, July 23 (FENA) - The Croatian National Assembly (HNS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejects the Decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH on holding separate local elections in the city of Mostar on December 20, 2020, which they say is unacceptable and discriminatory.
They say that this decision, which comes in light of socio-economic, health and political challenges, targets the stabilizing steps covered by the Mostar Election Agreement, signed with the support of international partners - representatives of the US, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland and the Office of the High Representative and the OSCE Mission to BiH.
An integral part of the Agreement includes the holding of local elections in Mostar together with the local elections in BiH in 2020.
The city of Mostar must not be a victim of an illegal and illegitimate CEC which, by its illegal actions, openly discriminates against the inhabitants of this city, trying to make Mostar an example, HNS points out.
