SARAJEVO, July 2 (FENA) - After Germany took over the six-month presidency of the EU Council, German Ambassador to BiH Margret Uebber received the BiH Presidency Chairman and members Šefik Džaferović, Milorad Dodik and Željko Komšić, as well as the EU Special Representative Johann Sattler and Croatian Ambassador in BiH Ivan Sabolić.
Uebber thanked the Croatian presidency of the EU Council for the important work they had done despite the aggravating circumstances caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
She also explained priorities during Germany's EU Council mandate, including overcoming the coronavirus crisis through a sustainable growth strategy including the European Green Deal, digitization, social justice, defending EU fundamental values and strengthening the position of a united Europe in the world.
In this way, Germany wants to contribute to Europe’s permanent overcoming of the crisis and emerging from it even more resilient, fairer and stronger, the German Embassy in Sarajevo stated.
