FBiH Govt. adopts information to assist Sandžak in preventing spread of pandemic

SARAJEVO, June 30 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of BiH today, at an emergency telephone session, adopted the information of the FBiH Ministry of Health on the need to provide assistance to a health institution in the Republic of Serbia - Sandžak Region, with the aim of preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus.  

The FBiH Government will submit an act to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina requesting that, through the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it will be sent to the managements of clinical centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as regional and cantonal hospitals, in order to assess sending of professional staff of the required specialty to Novi Pazar, which would specifically help Sandžak in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

The FBiH Government urges the management of FBiH clinical centers, as well as cantonal hospitals, to immediately assess their capabilities.

The aim of the information was to inform members of the Government of the Federation of BiH about the need to provide professional assistance to a health institution in the Republic of Serbia - Sandžak Region, in order to prevent the spread of the virus, based on the request of the Association of citizens originally from Sandžak and the General Hospital from Novi Pazar.

The Association of Citizens, registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent an act to the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH asking for help regarding the new situation of increased number of infected people in Sandžak, and assistance in medical material and equipment to endangered areas.

Also, the General Hospital Novi Pazar addressed the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with an act in which it stated that professional and personnel assistance is needed for that health institution, and the most needed are specialists in anesthesiology, infectology, pulmonology and radiology, as well as professional medical staff.
