HJCPBiH appoints judicial office holders

SARAJEVO, June 25 (FENA) - The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPCBiH) made a decision today on the appointment of judicial office holders in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the level of the Republika Srpska, the following were appointed: Milorad Debeljević to the position of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina and Elbisa Muharemović Karić to the position of Judge of the District Court in Bijeljina.

At the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanela Kovač-Grabonjić was appointed to the position of Judge of the Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH and Željko Živković to the position of President of the Municipal Court in Orašje.

At the level of the Brčko District of BiH, Ajsela Memišević was appointed to the position of a judge of the Basic Court of the Brčko District of BiH and Zlatan Kavazović to the position of a judge of the Basic Court of the Brčko District of BiH.

When appointing, the HJPC applies the relevant constitutional provisions governing equal rights and representation of the constituent peoples and others, and respects equal gender representation.

The newly appointed judicial officials will take office on August 1st this year, the HJPC said.
