BANJA LUKA, June 16 (FENA) – An MP of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in the RS National Assembly Senad Bratić pointed out today that there have been no severance payments for years to unlawfully fired Bosniak workers at the beginning of the war on the territory of today’s entity of the RS, and that is one of the reasons why the Bosniak caucus vetoed the RS budget revision.

On behalf of the parliamentary group "Together for BiH" in the RS National Assembly, Bratić asked today how many requests for the so-called severance pay for unlawfully fired Bosniak were submitted under Article 182 of the Labor Law, because they were fired in 1992 only because of their ethnicity.

“We have information that the last payments were in 2012. When do you intend to compensate Bosniaks and Croats who were unlawfully fired in 1992 just because of their nationality? That is one of the main reasons why Bosniaks vetoed the RS budget revision for this year,” he pointed out.

He hopes that severance pay will follow, and that the children and grandchildren of the beneficiaries will not have to wait for them.
