SARAJEVO, June 16 (FENA) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and partner police and security agencies uncovered and documented the smuggling of migrants from Africa to EU countries, in which perpetrators used documents of the Republic of France and Italy belonging to third parties.
In this regard, the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed an indictment against - Jackson Ndipa (1968) from Cameroon, residing in the Republic of France, Agbor Donatus Eta (1979), also from Cameroon and a citizen of that country, both of whom are in custody at the moment.
The accused are charged that during 2019 and the beginning of 2020, with several other persons, they acted as an organized group in the territory of Cameroon, France and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to gain illegal property, they groomed citizens of Cameroon, promising them travel to countries in the European Union for amounts between 4,500 and 7,500 euros.
To that end, most of the illegal migrants were detected and prevented during an attempt to leave BiH in late January this year.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation, the Prosecutor's Office of BiH stated.
