FBiH CS proposes abolition of state of disaster, shopping centers reopen

SARAJEVO, May 28 (FENA) - The FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff (FBiH CS) has sent to the FBiH Government a Proposal of Decision on declaring the termination of the state of disaster caused by the coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Federation of BiH.

The proposal of that decision is to end the state of disaster caused by coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the territory of FBiH, which was declared by the Government of FBiH on March 16 this year, the FBIH Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) announced.

FBiH Government will instruct FUCZ and the Crisis Staff of the FBIH Ministry of Health to continue to monitor and assess the epidemiological situation in the FBiH and determine measures and activities to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).

Members of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff, chaired by Commander Jelka Milićević, discussed favorable epidemiological situation in the Federation of BiH, the efficiency of the previous measures and possibilities of mitigating a large number of adopted measures, at the extraordinary session of the FBiH Civil Protection Crisis Staff held yesterday.

Based on the recommendation of the Crisis Staff of the FBiH Ministry of Health, FBiH CS repealed orders suspending the operation of shopping malls, providing services within catering facilities of all categories and in hotels. Orders that did not have a deadline were also repealed.

“The new order, which will be applied until May 30, still prohibits the use and consumption of hookahs. This order enters into force on the day of its adoption, and it is applied until May 30 this year,” it is stated.
