Bevanda and Macdonald discuss economic consequences of the pandemic

SARAJEVO, May 12 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda held a meeting today with the UN Resident Coordinator Ingrid Macdonald, where the main topics were the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the socio-economic situation in BiH.

It was emphasized in the meeting, that the whole world has faced the severe consequences of this pandemic, both health and economic and social, and that it is necessary to take urgent measures to overcome the harmful effects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Given that Minister Bevanda is the co-chair of the Joint Steering Board of BiH and the UN, it was agreed at the meeting that the date for the next session of this body should be agreed as soon as possible and that the regular activities should continue, stated the BiH Ministry of Finance and Treasury said.
