SARAJEVO, May 10 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić reacted today to the press release of the General Council of the Croat People's Assembly (HNS), and stated in response to the HNS that Bosnia and Herzegovina will never be a fascist and a totalitarian state in which the right to freedom of opinion is prohibited".
"Gentlemen from the HNS, your obvious intention was to present me and Mr. Džaferović as enemies of the Catholic Church. Since you did not succeed, now, like true supporters of totalitarian regimes, you are trying to say that we do not even have the right to an opinion on the holding of a holy mass in memory of a quisling fascist army," said Komšić in a press release.
He added that the HNS must know that BiH will never be a fascist state, nor a state in which anyone is stripped of the right to an opinion.
"A non-governmental organization whose description of activities is to overthrow the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the last that has any credibility to silence the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I am sorry to see that you getting encouraged and being carried away by such illusions," added Komšić.
"Once again, I hereby call on the citizens of Sarajevo not to fall prey to trickery of the Ustasha aimed at portraying Sarajevo and its citizens as enemies of Catholicism and Croats, just because they have a clear and well-grounded attitude that praying for fascists is an act that fully contradicts civilizational values," concluded Komšić in his reaction.
