SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in BiH has responded to a call from the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton and donated 72 tablets to students in the canton, with a view to improving implementation of online classes and reducing the number of students who do not have internet access.
"We thank for the donation as this will greatly help students to have equal access to education. The ministry intends to determine, in cooperation with the Parents Council, the priority cases, that is, schools to which these tablets will be allocated," said the Minister of Education Science and Youth Anis Krivić.
Head of UNESCO Office in BiH, Siniša Šešum expressed satisfaction that they were able to respond to the appeal of the Ministry of Education because in this way they were at least able to help a little bit to strengthen the process of online education in the canton, as well as throughout BiH.
"It is important for us that there is no interruption of the educational process. One of the most important parts of our mandate is education, and we want to help solve very important issues such as online education," Šešum said.
