SARAJEVO, March 27 (FENA) - Police officers from the Police Directorate of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior located and transported migrants found in open public areas and illegal private accommodation in the Sarajevo Canton.
On that occasion, more than 400 migrant persons, in cooperation with the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, the Ministry of Security of BiH and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), were relocated in the reception center in Blažuj, where the necessary accommodation conditions were secured.
In the coming period, police officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the SC will carry out security activities and visit migrant centers in the area of the Sarajevo Canton, as well as continue activities of relocation of migrants who are out of the centers, with the aim of preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the PR Office of the SC MoI announced.
