SARAJEVO, March 17 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović received the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Johann Sattler.
The two officials discussed the ongoing situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the measures taken by the institutions of our country at all levels.
They jointly assessed that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina have responded in a timely manner and are taking a number of measures that should contribute to preventing the spread of the virus.
Ambassador Sattler stressed that in the past the European Union has always been with Bosnia and Herzegovina in crisis situations, as was the case in the floods that hit our country in 2014.
He stressed that this time as well, the EU assistance will not miss out and that the EU General Secretariat for Health is considering support options for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors agreed that the coronavirus pandemic is a specific challenge for all countries, and that, with timely decisions of each state individually, it is necessary for every individual to strictly adhere to the instructions of health experts and contribute to preventing the spread of infection through their responsible behavior, stated the BiH Presidency.
