SARAJEVO, February 24 (FENA) - BiH Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Foreign Minister, Bisera Turković, received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to BiH Hani bin Abdullah Mominah in an inaugural visit today.
Minister Turković emphasized the importance that BiH attaches to cooperation with Saudi Arabia and emphasized interest in improving economic cooperation and urged representatives of Saudi funds and business people to continue investing in BiH, for which there are various opportunities in the areas of dedicated industry, banking and finance, agriculture and food industry. The Minister emphasized the possibilities of investing in agricultural projects, especially in production of organic food, but also for trade in consumer goods. Tourism has been highlighted as a special potential, given the high interest of Saudi nationals in visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this context, the possibility of simplifying the visa regime for passport holders of both countries was also discussed.
Ambassador Mominah congratulated Minister Turković for taking on this very important duty and expressed hope that bilateral relations between BiH and Saudi Arabia would develop for the mutual benefit of the two countries. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of high-level visits, work on concluding interstate agreements in various fields, as well as efforts to increase the number of visitors from his country to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Turković reminded the Ambassador of an open invitation to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to visit BiH, and expressed hope that this visit would be realized soon, the PR Office of the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
