SARAJEVO, February 24 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić received Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative to BiH Johann Sattler in a working visit.
The officials discussed the European Commission's Opinion on Bosnia and Herzegovina's application for EU membership, or the fulfillment of 14 measures to become eligible for candidate status, the BiH Presidency stated.
The interlocutors agreed that in the past year, very little has been done to fulfill the 14 measures of the European Commission's Opinion, and that in this respect the emphasis should be placed on the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina as the bodies most responsible for the tasks arising from the Opinion of the European Commission.
The participation of foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina was also discussed, and it was jointly assessed that their presence is protection against any extra-constitutional actions, and that the role of foreign judges in the highest judicial body of Bosnia and Herzegovina is very important.
Chairman Komšić and Ambassador Sattler also discussed launching socio-economic reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
