SARAJEVO, February 20 (FENA) - The BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik spoke today in East Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Ji Ping.
Dodik informed the Chinese Ambassador about the latest situation after the BiH Constitutional Court's decision on agricultural land in the RS, noting that “the decision was directed against Republika Srpska and its interests without legal or constitutional basis.”
"By making such a decision they have unlawfully confiscated the property of Republika Srpska and made a decision to transfer the property to the state level, although the Constitution clearly states that BiH does not have its own property and that the property belongs to the entities.”
Dodik then added that “this is why we will not accept that decision and will not participate in the decision-making in the state-level institutions until the Constitutional Court of BiH annuls this decision," and emphasized that “international law has been violated in BiH for many years.”
Chinese Ambassador Ji Ping stressed that he did not condone any interference in the internal affairs of other countries and hoped that a solution that respects the law and the Constitution would also be found within Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Chinese Ambassador thanked the BiH Presidency member, who was among the first to send a letter of support to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people in the fight against coronavirus epidemic that has affected parts of China.
The BiH Presidency member and Chinese ambassador also discussed the improvement of BiH-China co-operation at all levels, the BiH Presidency said.
