SARAJEVO, January 26 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija, members of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović and Milorad Dodik extended their condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey on Friday.
“I would like to express my deepest condolences on behalf of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and on my own and sympathies for the suffering of the citizens of the Republic of Turkey after the earthquake that hit your country. I also want to express my sincere wishes for a speedy recovery of all the injured,” said Komšič in the letter, the BiH Presidency stated.
Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić sent a telegram of condolences to President of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Şentop, over the earthquake that struck eastern Turkey.
The 6.8-magnitude quake hit eastern Elazig province at 8.55 p.m. local time (1755GMT) on Friday, with its epicenter in Sivrice district.
