MOSTAR, January 24 (FENA) - More than a hundred business people from Herzegovina attended on Friday a business conference that was held in Mostar, organized by Bosnia Bank International (BBI) and its BBI VIP Business Club, with the aim of presenting investment projects of the City of Mostar and the Herzegovina region at the upcoming Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF), which will take place in the capital of BiH from 8 to 10 April 2020.
"For the 11th year in a row, the SBF has brought together investors and business people from around the world, giving them the opportunity to learn about investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region of Southeast Europe. Today, we gathered here in Mostar to talk to entrepreneurs and government representatives in order to find the best modalities for private-public partnerships and potential projects to present to investors," said BBI Bank CEO Amer Bukvić.
He stressed that this region has great potentials in agriculture, food industry and tourism and that the number of tourists is growing year by year which is huge potential.
"This year, the focus of the SBF will be on the investors from the diaspora, our successful people living abroad. I had the opportunity to meet many of our fellow citizens who live and work abroad and who have achieved great results.
One of them is a Bosnian who went to Germany as a refugee and then to America where he graduated from Harvard and is now the owner of a company that trades in more than USD 700 million annually.
Also, we have announcements of arrival of investors from China who are especially interested in healthcare tourism, while Mostar and its surroundings are ideal for such projects because of its climate and overall environment, " said Bukvić.
