SARAJEVO, January 20 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sifet Podžić received today Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to BiH, Hani Abdullah Mominah, with whom he discussed improving bilateral and defense cooperation between the two countries.
Podžić expressed gratitude to Mominah for the assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the reconstruction and development projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly emphasizing its contribution to the development of the BiH Armed Forces.
Podžić stressed the importance of signing the Bilateral-Military Cooperation Plan of the two countries, whose draft will be sent to the BiH Council of Ministers very soon.
He also expressed his expectation that cooperation would be further enhanced in terms of economic and foreign trade relations.
The meeting also focused on the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on projects for the storage of ammunition and mine explosives (MiMES), as well as projects significant for the modernization of the BiH Armed Forces.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to BiH thanked for the reception highlighting the good cooperation between the two countries that needs to be further developed for the benefit of all the peoples and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the MoD Public Relations Office.
