RS citizens still largely unaware that Sarajevo is their capital

BANJA LUKA, January 15 (FENA) - Under the entity of Republika Srpska constitution, its capital is the City of Sarajevo, and in 2018, 21.7 percent of residents of this BiH entity were aware of this fact, and in 2019, this number was 16.3 percent, according to a survey conducted by the Banja Luka agency Prime Communications.

Also, in 2018, 56 percent of the entity's population claimed that under the entity constitution, its capital city is Banja Luka, and in 2019 this result was 52.5 percent.

In 2018, 13.9 percent answered that the entity’s capital is East Sarajevo, while in 2019, this percentage was 22.1 percent.

The survey was conducted in December 2019 for the needs of the agency. A similar survey with the same questions was conducted in September 2018, so it is interesting to compare the results with a 15-month time span.
