MOSTAR, January 14 (FENA) - An increasing number of fixed-term contracts are one of the more common problems in the field of labor law in the Federation of BiH, it was highlighted today at labor relations seminar in Mostar.
“We have a very large number of fixed-term contracts lately. Workers are faced with the situation of having to renew their employment contracts every now and again.
The problem is that workers are often in a dilemma whether they are registered for social security and insurance because the old system of employment booklet is no longer in use,” Ernis Imamović from the FBiH Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said for the press.
He added that workers also complain about the payment of minimum wages, as well as non-compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
The focus of the seminar is on the situation of hiring workers through private agencies for mediation in employment, the possibility of contracting or hiring workers, hiring workers on the basis of business cooperation contracts, as well as the possibility of hiring students.
