SARAJEVO, November 22 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović extended today a message of congratulations on the occasion of 25 November, the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Marking the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we proudly and respectfully recall the generation of Bosnian and Hezegovinian patriots who had courage to confront fascism, but also the determination, vision and wisdom to speak at ZAVNOBiH session in Mrkonjić Grad on November 25, 1943, and confirm historical and legal continuity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With the same respect and gratitude we have for the generation that gave us ZAVNOBiH and its values, today we also express our gratitude to the generation of BiH patriots who defended this country from the last aggression.
It is our duty to continue to affirm the idea of unity and equality of all peoples and citizens in the entire BiH, because that is the only way we can build Bosnia and Herzegovina as a modern, prosperous state of equal people, a member of the European Union and NATO.
“In order to continue on this path, I congratulate to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of BiH Statehood Day,” said BiH Presidency member Šefik Džaferović in his congratulatory note, the BiH Presidency announced.
