RS Senate: To return to constitutional structure that established today's BiH

FENA Dušica Stanojević

BANJA LUKA, November 10 (FENA) - President of Republika Srpska (RS) Željka Cvijanović said today at the session of the RS Senate that RS institutions should, using all available political and legal means, prevent any further unconstitutional transformation of BiH.

She said that an analysis will be made, in order to see how things within BiH "can return to constitutional structures that established today’s BiH, not what comes from possible imaginations or different interpretations."

Senators discussed the agenda for tomorrow's special session, and Cvijanović said at a press conference in Banja Luka that the Senate proposed that entity institutions, primarily the National Assembly, the Government, the Constitutional Court, the Academy of Sciences and Arts and all organizations of public interest, actively involve in the process of analyzing the constitutional structure of BiH and effects of the unconstitutional transformation of delegated competences.

She stressed that the RS Senate calls on political actors from RS to express unity on strategic issues for the RS, including at the session of the entity parliament tomorrow, scheduled at the request of the ruling majority in that BiH entity. Information on the unconstitutional transformation of the Dayton structure of BiH and influence on the position and rights of the RS will be discussed too.

The conclusions will be adopted at tomorrow's session.
