SARAJEVO, November 7 (FENA) - The Union for Sustainable Return and Integration in BiH has launched 'BH SELO' project aimed at promoting rural tourism through capacity building and promoting rural households in BiH in order to reduce number of BiH citizens leaving the country.
President of the Union for Sustainable Return and Integration in BiH Mirhunisa Zukić said at a press conference today, that the project will be implemented in the areas of Doboj, Ključ, Hadžići, Foča Ustikolina, Trebinje, Tešanj, Goražde and Modriča.
According to her, those involved in this project from the above mentioned cities and municipalities, together with local authorities, tourist boards will embark on an organized model in order to promote local communities.
It is intended to be a more organized form of rural tourism, educating people from rural households according to EU standards.
The project offers the opportunity to start a business through rural(agro) tourism, which will benefit the local community as well.
The project is supported by the Government of Switzerland through the MarketMakers project, implemented by the consortium Helvetas and Kolektiv / Posao.ba.
