SARAJEVO, October 30 (FENA) - BiH Presidency members met with Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations in Brussels, Johannes Hahn.
They expressed appreciation for the continued support and commitment of the European Union and its institutions to BiH European integration process, as well as its expressed efforts to make significant results on the European path in the previous European Commission mandate, the BiH Presidency announced.
The interlocutors discussed the current political situation in BiH and process of government formation at all levels in BiH, as well as BiH's continued and strong commitment to European integration.
The topic of the meeting was regional cooperation in the context of the Western Balkan region's accession to European integration, and the recent decisions of the European Council to postpone accession negotiations with the Republic of Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia.
It was emphasized that the focus should be on economic development of the region, strengthening of the market, as the more economically influential and developed region is preferable to the EU.
BiH Presidency members wished success to Commissioner Hahn in his new post and expressed hope that the European path of BiH and the countries of the region would continue.
