SARAJEVO, October 28 (FENA) - The BiH Consortium of Police and Military Equipment Manufacturers has voiced its support for the trade unions of police authorities in BiH in their efforts to get the highest quality uniforms and equipment for police officers.
According to Haris Sejdić, the consortium representative, producers unquestionably stand by the trade unions, because the only right thing to do is to adequately and to the best possible standards, equip our law enforcement officers.
“Equipping those who protect BiH citizens, that is, police officers cannot, nor should be a problem. We support the efforts of the trade union to provide the police with professional and efficient equipment to respond readily to all the challenges they face.
I believe that transparent and equal competition in the market would enable police officers to have the highest quality equipment, and the budget allocations for these purposes would be lesser than is the case now when there is no or insufficient competition,” added Sejdić.
The BiH Consortium of Police and Military Equipment calls on those responsible to make decisions through parliaments and governments that will facilitate the work and operations of law enforcement, the consortium said.
