SARAJEVO, October 22 (FENA) - The fourth edition of the regional forum of innovation, technology and entrepreneurship, “Sarajevo Unlimited”, which began today and ends on October 24, focuses on the development of smart cities.
In addition to the main theme - smart cities, this year, the forum manager Lejla Mujkanović Krka said that they will pay special attention to the topics: Internet of Things (IoT), digitalization of tourism offer, e-government, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship development, Fintech, but also protection of data and their security in accordance with international standards.
“I would especially like to emphasize the participation of world-renowned speakers, namely Amazon representative Peder Ulander, Keith Rajecki from Oracle, Markus Wissmann from Cisco, Mirko Vavrenjuk - PWC Estonia, and many other speakers from BiH, but also the region,” said Krka Mujkanović at a press conference.
She also announced a competition part and a startup battle powered by BH Telecom, to which 55 young startups applied, of which 25 were selected from BiH and several European countries.
They will compete for the next three days and the best startup will be given a valuable cash prize to support the development of their idea at the very end of the Forum.
“I would like to highlight some of the inspiring stories of young people under 30 years of age within the program ‘Unlimited30’, powered by Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit, and all participants will have the opportunity to hear ten such stories,” added Krka Mujkanović.
The City of Sarajevo has accepted and strongly supported this project, said Sarajevo Deputy Mayor Milan Trivić, adding that the most valuable thing is that the Forum these days brings together a large number of young, innovative people who think about the future.
During the three days of the Forum, more than 20 events, workshops, panels, presentations, discussions, B2B meetings, Unlimited Expo, startup competition will take place.
