SARAJEVO, October 21 (FENA) - BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdić met today with Deputy Senior Director for European Affairs on the US National Security Council, John Erath, in Washington and thanked him for his overall support and assistance to reform efforts in BiH, especially on its path to NATO and European Union membership.
Chairman Zvizdić said that the United States is Bosnia and Herzegovina's most important foreign policy partner and that our orientation towards freedom, democracy and economic prosperity, as well as Euro-Atlantic integration, is the only right path.
Zvizdić and Erath agreed that BiH is a factor of stability in the Balkans and that respecting territorial integrity and strengthening of Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions enables the implementation of reforms necessary for democratization of our country's society and its prosperity.
Chairman Zvizdić stressed that peace and stability have no alternative and that membership in the European Union and NATO, from the perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a synonym for peace and stability, as well as the most important priority for BiH and countries of the region, the Council of Ministers stated.
