SARAJEVO, October 11 (FENA) - The Democratic Front (DF) considers the statement by Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović given after last night's football match between Croatia and Hungary, played in Split to be scandalous.
“We are sure that she did not just make yet another omission last night when after a great game and the victory of the Croatian national football team in Split, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović said: "What can I tell you? I am so happy with the result, even more so for coach Dalić and all the players and most of all because of all these people who gathered here in Split. From Vis to Kupres, the whole of Croatia,” it is quoted in a statement from the DF press service.
Everyone who thinks that this is just a case of ignorance and basic lack of knowledge of geography is mistaken, but everyone is also right to conclude that this statement is a direct attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the neighboring country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, says the DF.
“So much for the empty phrases and sincere intentions of our neighbor Croatia and its official policies that they will do everything to make BiH a member of the 'European family'" the statement said.
The DF's position is that such a scandalous statement, just the latest in a series of them, directly questions and threatens the overall relations between the two sovereign states, and it cannot be justified even with Grabar Kitarović’s race for a new term in office as the President of Croatia.
