SARAJEVO, October 2 (FENA) - Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović received today in an inaugural visit Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to BiH, Johanna Strömquist.
The two officials highlighted the extremely good bilateral relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Sweden, and agreed that there is plenty of room for improvement in economic cooperation and trade exchange.
It was emphasized that the BiH diaspora in Sweden could play a significant role in raising economic relations to a higher level, as this Bosnian community is an example of successful integration into Swedish society.
Ambassador Strömquist emphasized that Sweden will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of its integration into the European Union, as well as in concrete economic projects implemented in our country.
Džaferović said that the support Sweden has provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina in all segments is extremely important and that friendly relations need to be further enhanced.
He informed the Swedish ambassador about the reasons for the delay in the formation of the Council of Ministers.
Džaferović stressed the need for the Council of Ministers to be formed as soon as possible, as well as to unblock the work of the BiH Parliament, with strict respect for the rule of law, which is a key principle in the functioning of the European Union, the BiH Presidency stated.
