SARAJEVO, August 22 (FENA) - At today's session in Sarajevo, the FBiH Government has determined and introduced the procedure for the Draft Law on Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of BiH to the Parliament.
This regulation provides the rules for the establishment, maintenance and development of the FBiH Spatial Data Infrastructure, its contents, as well as the establishment and competencies of its bodies. It is a whole set of technologies, measures, standards, services, human capacities and other factors that enable the effective consolidation, management, maintenance and sharing of spatial data determined by this law in order to meet the needs in the FBiH, as well as their use outside the FBiH.
Today, the FBiH Power Sector Restructuring Program was adopted, which is related to other activities in this area. This includes the functioning of the Energy Regulatory Commission in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the extent required by law, especially with regard to independence and creating preconditions for the functioning of the electricity market and the separation of regulated and market activities.
It also includes the modernization and restructuring of the coal mine. The key changes and obligations arising from the provisions of the Law on Electricity in the Federation of BiH included in this program are functional separation of all activities, legal separation and distribution independence, as well as the accounting separation of the supply into regulated and market ones. Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed the Treaty establishing the Energy Community, which has been in force since July 1, 2006. This has taken over the commitments and implementation of the acquis which relates to the electricity market.
