SARAJEVO, July 31 (FENA) - President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović has offered Milorad Dodik, the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), a reduced Annual National Program, with Bosnia and Herzegovina's path to NATO integration to be the subject of later negotiations.
In a statement to the BHRT, Izetbegović told the SNSD leader that his party remains one of the main partners for government formation, but that it is now up to Milorad Dodik to take the next step.
“We are even ready to say ‘No to NATO membership without a new consensus’, we will not force anyone, but we cannot give up the rule of law and respect for the Constitution,” said Izetbegović, among other things.
