BANJA LUKA, July 30 (FENA) - Republika Srpska Vice-President Ramiz Salkić has condemned today another threat against Emir effendi Nuhić, the imam from Bosanski Novi.
Nuhić received threatening messages via Facebook on March 17 and 18 this year, and again received similar messages last night, July 29, from the same person. In a previous but also new message, the imam was sent death threats, insults and cusses, said Salkić’s office.
“Repetition of threats and insults directed towards effendi Nuhić from the same person shows that the RS Interior Ministry and the competent prosecutor's office have taken the previously made threats seriously and have not taken adequate measures. It is obvious that the threats to Bosniaks in this entity will continue, and they are not dealt with full seriousness and criminal professionalism,” Salkić said.
He warned that threats could not go unpunished.
He added that, for the time being, he urged for professionalism of the RS MUP and the prosecution, but also the attitude of non-prejudice and national knowledge towards citizens in random cases.
