The Head of the Islamic Community’s Office of Hajj and Umrah muderris Nezim ef. Halilović said in an interview for FENA that all necessary preparations for the departure of the Hajj and execution of the Hajj rituals in 2019 were completed. An easing circumstance was that application for visas was enabled to be performed electronically.

“The price of the hajj is the same as last year, it does not depend on us, but on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are trying to improve the travel of our pilgrims, and this also implies a rise in prices,” he said, and as an example he stated the obligation of the lease of air-conditioned tents at Arefat, food and water, and there are additional military fees.

Raisu-l-hujjajj (head of the Hajj pilgrimage) is the deputy raisu-l-ulama Husein ef. Smajić, and the Travnik mufti Ahmed Adilović was responsible for the education of the pilgrims.

Pilgrims are accompanied by 38 guides and each of them will be in charge of between 40 and 45 people on average, and six physicians and six medical technicians will take care of the health of the pilgrims.

The ambulance will be located in the hotels where the pilgrims are staying. If necessary, the patients will be taken care of free of charge at the KSA hospitals that are equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

In Medina, the pilgrims will be located in two hotels, which are 400 meters away from the harem of the Prophet's mosque. In Mecca, they will be located in the newly built Lamar towers, a luxury hotel.

The Muddarris says that from year to year more and more young people go to the Hajj. About seven percent of the pilgrims are the sick and elderly and they need additional service, help, and this is an additional problem for the organizers, but they will not be neglected. Guides are also assisted by BH students from Medina and Riyadh.

He reminds that the Hajj is a strict obligation to those who fulfill the following conditions: that they are Muslim, adult, mentally and physically healthy, have material conditions and have access to the roads.

“The hajj must not be delayed. This is an obligation that must be executed as soon as the conditions are met. He who fulfills all these conditions and does not do Hajj and dies, he dies as a great sinner,” Halilović said.

After the completed pilgrimage, return to BiH is scheduled for 17, 18, 19 and 20 August.
