ZAGREB/SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - A regional meeting of governmental and non-governmental organizations active in the area of providing support to victims/witnesses was held in Zagreb, Croatia on 21 and 22 May 2019, in the organization of the “Victim Support Europe“ and the Croatian Justice Ministry.
The meeting gathered representatives of various organizations and civil services from South-East Europe countries, who discussed challenges in the work with victims/witnesses.
Among the participants in the meeting was a representative of the Witness Support Section of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who took the opportunity to share WSS experiences at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also gave an overview of the current situation in the witness support system in the judicial system of BiH, as well as of regional cooperation in the area.
WSS representative’s participation in the meeting was made possible with the assistance of OSCE Mission to BiH.
