SARAJEVO, May 9 (FENA) - Director of BiH Border Police Zoran Galić and his associates met in Sarajevo yesterday with the UNHCR delegation led by Regional Representative for Southeast Europe Anne-Christine Eriksson.
They exchanged information on current situation with migrants and asylum seekers and problems that members of BiH BP are dealing with daily due to complex situation at the border, BiH Border Police stated.
Regional Representative Eriksson emphasized that UNHCR is working with all organizational units of BiH BP and that it supports activities of BiH police agency.
Director Galić emphasized that police officers of BiH BP are acting in accordance with laws of BiH and international humanitarian laws to preserve security of the border and citizens of BiH.
He added that BiH BP will continue participating in UNHCR projects which relate to vulnerable categories of migrants and asylum seekers, it is stated.
