SARAJEVO, May 8 (FENA) - Raisu-l-ulama of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein ef. Kavazović met yesterday with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to BiH Matthew Field.
Ambassador congratulated Raisu-l-ulama and Muslims in BiH the month of Ramadan, wishing they spend it in peace and security.
Field wanted to hear Raisu-l-ulama's views on the current situation in the state and the region, once again stressing Great Britain's support to this area and all its citizens, peoples and states.
He emphasized that fight against corruption is one of the priorities of the British engagement in BiH and that support of religious leaders is very important in that sense, MINA reports.
Rais Kavazović thanked Ambassador Field for Britain's support to BiH in preservation of its multicultural and multireligious spirit and strengthening of state institutions to face numerous challenges society is dealing with.
