SARAJEVO, April 5 (FENA) – Museum "Walter Defends Sarajevo", dedicated to cult film by director Hajrudin Šiba Krvavac will open on April 6, on the birthday of the City of Sarajevo, and it has been announced as one of the most attractive tourist destinations.
Museum will offer original film exhibits and review of segments of this film to the visitors, it was confirmed at a press conference by Director General of Sarajevo Film Center Jasmin Duraković, president of the Committee at the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Community Nermin Muzur and scenographer of the Museum Osman Arslanagić, all of whom pointed to importance of archive and preservation of BiH film treasure, and which can be presented to visitors, tourists in Sarajevo.
"Apart from cultural, the project has a tourist dimension as well. This institution is important identity of community, but it is also a valuable tourist product," emphasized Duraković.
"After the opening we plan many other activities to make this museum institution one of the best tourist products in Sarajevo," said Muzur, adding that this requires good cooperation with all cultural-historic institutions.
He announced they will gather representatives of world airlines and tour operators from Chinese market soon to present them cultural-historic treasure of Sarajevo and BiH.
Museum will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in April. Tickets will cost 10 KM and one day in a week will be "open doors day", when the tickets will be 5 KM. Museum is also adapted to persons with disabilities.
Duraković also announced reconstruction project of former Jagomir film studio, where they can build an entertainment film park dedicated to BiH cinematography. He said that takes time but he is certain it is a significant element for creative film industry of BiH, but also for tourism.
