Mektić and Bashnan sign arrangements for protection of classified information

SARAJEVO, March 5 (FENA) - Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić and Director of the NATO Security Office, Wendy Bashnan met in Sarajevo today and signed the Administrative Arrangements for the protection of classified information exchanged between Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO.

The documents have been signed within the framework of the implementation of the 2007 NATO-Bosnia and Herzegovina Intelligence Security Agreement.

The Arrangements establish common security principles with the aim of ensuring the protection of confidential classified information.

The two pointed out that the NATO remains committed to a strong political dialogue with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and continues to provide support to BiH in its efforts in implementing reforms.

The Alliance expresses expectation that the signing of this document would strengthen the dialogue and deepen practical cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO, stated the BiH Ministry of Security.
