FBiH Government’s goal is for the minimum pension to exceed 400 KM (VIDEO)

SARAJEVO, February 22 (FENA) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today’s emergency adopted a Decision to increase the minimum pension in FBiH by 3.2 percent, starting from 1 January 2019.

The FBiH Government also announced an increase of all pensions during this year under the reformed Pension and Disability Insurance Law.

The increase on the basis of today's decision will be implemented with the payment of pensions for February 2019, and will include the increased amount for the month of January.

The FBiH Minister of Labor and Social Policy Vesko Drljača announced the news at a press conference after the session of the Government, adding that the financial situation in the Pension Fund is satisfactory and that the money needed for this decision is about 25 million KM annually.

The FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said that the goal of this government was for the minimum pension in FBiH to exceed 400 KM, based on the effects of the government’s work in this mandate, as they were in a situation where the minimum pension amounted to 326 KM at the beginning of their term in office and there were also delays in payments.
