SARAJEVO, January 28 (FENA) - The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Bosnia and Herzegovina will on Tuesday, 29 January sign an agreement with and the Qatar Charity which has allocated USD 364,050 (BAM 620,341) to IOM for the support in the response to the refugee and migrant situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The signing ceremony will take place on 2019 in Sarajevo.
The project will be implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and will last 12 months.
The project aims to improve the living and security conditions in targeted temporary reception centers.
Planned activities include improvement of the existing infrastructure and expansion of the current capacity of the centers.
Additionally, small interventions will also be realized in order to support local communities hosting the refugees and migrant situation.
The Agreement will be signed by Mr. Faisal Rashid A. T. Alfehaida, Qatar Charity Assistant of the General Director for Operations and International Partnership and Mr. Dražan Rozić, IOM Bosnia and Herzegovina Project Coordinator.
