BIHAĆ, January 20 (FENA) - Educational process for children from migrant families who are currently residing in area of Bihać and Cazin should begin at the beginning of second semester of this school year, confirmed Adnan Kreso from Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Una-Sana Canton (USC).

“We are following example of some other countries, that have been part of a migrant route, and will slowly introduce these children in educational system so we would include them in some kind of regular lessons later on,” said Kreso.

He added that health centers in Cazin and Bihać are completing detailed procedure of checkups, whereas teachers who will be working with the children have completed additional training.

“Health Center in Cazin has already completed detailed checkups of around 30 elementary children, who are staying at ‘Sedra’ shelter. Health Center in Bihać is also completing the same process for around 100 children,” said Kreso.

He emphasized that around 130 children in area of Bihać and Cazin will be included in the first stage of educational process in four elementary schools.

“They will attend a special program in Bihać elementary schools 'Harmani 2', 'Prekounje' and 'Brekovica', and elementary school 'Ostrožac' in Cazin. Logistic support and all costs will be covered by international organizations: UNHCR, IOM, Save the children and others,” he confirmed.
