SARAJEVO, December 23 (FENA) - President of Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović sent a telegram of condolences to Ashdown family and Vince Cable, president of Liberal Democrats, on the occasion of death of Lord Paddy Ashdown.
“Since proclamation of independence and international recognition, BiH always had a sincere friend in Lord Ashdown,” said Izetbegović.
He emphasized he would especially remember his engagement as the high representative, when he played a crucial role in implementation of important reforms in BiH with his determination, energy and political experience, which paved the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
“We are also grateful to Lord Ashdown for his selfless dedication to BiH after end of his mandate in our country,” said Izetbegovic in the telegram, SDA stated.
