FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 11 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić received today in Sarajevo Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Central and Southeast Europe Charlotte Ruhe.

The central topic of the meeting was the investment plans and priorities of the FBiH Government in 2019, as well as the prospects for the support from this European financial institution in their implementation.

Also, they discussed the implementation of the existing projects of this institution in BiH.

At the helm of the list of priorities, they talked about the continuation and the dynamic of construction of the large infrastructure project like the motorway on the Corridor 5-C.

They did a sort of "inventory" on the projects implemented so far, especially on the Corridor 5-C. Specifically, the preparations for the construction of the Mostar North - Mostar South roundabout  and the tunnel through Mount Prenj, which Novalić said, should be viewed in package and built as a whole.

The two sides also talked about the privatization of the companies owned by the Federation of BiH, with the emphasis on the "Aluminij" Mostar which is going through a very turbulent period in its day to day operations.

The agenda of the meeting also included the South Stream gas pipeline interconnection between Croatia and BiH, whereby the EBRD has achieved significant cooperation with the company "Plinacro", the status of the Vranduk hydro power plant, issues related to ecological solutions and other.

Director of the EBRD for Western Balkans Zsuzsanna Hargitai, Director of the Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina Ian Brown and EBRD Banking Infrastructure Commissioner Josip Polić also attended the meeting, stated the Public Relations Office of the FBiH Government.
