SARAJEVO, October 24 (FENA) – International Tourism Fair, 40th edition, named "Sarajevo Tourism Fair"opened at Skenderija Center.
Host of the fair, Director of KJP Skenderija Amer Kapo, welcomed the presenters, guests and visitors and stressed importance of organizing fairs that contribute to affirmation of local tourist offer and natural potential and present tourism as one of the most important economic branches of BiH.
Kapo invited citizens of Sarajevo and tourists to visit the fair and enjoy local food and to take part in breaking of Guinness Record on Friday in making of 13 000 pancakes, which is currently held by Moscow.
Topic of this-year's fair is gastro tourism, which gathered Association of Chefs in BiH, Club of Pancake Lovers and Bartenders' Association ICE Sarajevo, who will prepare 100 meals for socially endangered categories of population, users of Pomozi.ba per day.
There will also be a conference on October 25 at the Youth Hall named "Gastronomy and Development of Tourist Destination“, which will gather professors from BiH and the region, representatives of institutions and tourist workers.
Entrance is free of charge and the ultimate aim of the organizers is to position the fair as a regional tourist event.
