SARAJEVO, September 30 (FENA) - Posthumous remains of 101 victims were exhumed in eight months of 2018, and investigators of the Missing Persons Institute of BiH went on the field 957 times to verify information on potential individual and mass graves, spokesperson of the Institute Lejla Čengić told FENA.

Unfortunately, she emphasized, this only shows how much false information they received, and each one has to be verified on the field. Only eight percent of information turn out to be true.

She reminded they found three mass graves this year, which was a mass grave on Rogoj, from which five victims were exhumed, three victims in Goražde and 18 victims in area of Drvar, Golubnjača pit.

“Content of reports on potential locations of graves is accurate in some cases, sometimes partially false, and completely false. Those who report believe that what they are reporting is true,” explained Čengić.

According to her, inaccurate information mostly affect the families of missing persons, who expect to find posthumous remains of their missing family members, because each new information is also hope to them.
