SARAJEVO, September 21 (FENA) – Chair and members of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović, Mladen Ivanić and Dragan Čović met in Sarajevo today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergej Lavrov, who emphasized that Russia fully supports and respects territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH, as well as its internal structure established by the Dayton Agreement.
BiH and the Russian Federation maintain good and stable relations and it is their common interest to keep enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially on economic level and foreign trade exchange, as well as in areas of infrastructure, energy, education, science and culture.
They discussed possibilities of opening BiH market for potential investors and Russian companies.
It was emphasized at the meeting that Russian Federation respects BiH's commitments to join the EU and that it appreciates decisions of all levels of government in BiH to develop good relations with the Russian Federation, PR Office of the BiH Presidency stated.
